H.E Dr. Harib Saeed Al Amimi, the President of SAI, Chairman of INTOSAI, headed the meeting of financial audit team in the UAE government’s annual meeting on Tuesday 27th November 2018 in St. Regis Saadiyat, Abu Dhabi. 

The meeting brought together heads of local audit bodies of each of Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah and Al-Fujairah. The meeting addressed audit entities issues at federal and local levels such as how to use artificial intelligence and big data analysis by conducting technical and specialized studies required for artificial intelligence applications on audit operations conducted by UAE audit bodies and preparing models and surveys to collect information from each body according to study requirements. Workshops will be held between UAE audit bodies to discuss the results of technical team studies, and come up with specific and approved results and recommendations on financial audit operations.  Moreover, they will evaluate the results and make the final recommendation on artificial intelligence usage in audit operation and present the results of initiatives and outcomes achievement to heads of bodies for discussion. 

The annual meetings aim at unifying government work at the federal and local level and discussing developmental issues at all levels and in attendance of the decision makers. The meetings also aim at participation of the various sectors in shaping the development vision of the UAE until the UAE Centennial 2071.  Audit work is a key source of sustainable and comprehensive development operations through the audit entities’ continuous evaluation of the funds usage operations in order to achieve the strategic goals of different government entities to use the public funds with a high level of efficiency, effectiveness and economic.  

All audit bodies seek to combat corruption and protect the government practices from its damages and use the IT to serve audit operations and raise the professional level of government auditors.
