State Audit Institution of United Arab Emirates signed a joint cooperation agreement with General Auditing Bureau of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to develop mechanisms of work, training and exchange of bilateral experiences in financial auditing and monitoring the governmental bodies’ performance in order to preserve the public fund and use it to achieve the national goals and purposes for which they were intended. This agreement signed by H.E Dr. Harib Al Amimi, President of SAI, and H.E Dr. Hussam bin Abdulmohsen Al-Anqari, President of the General Auditing Bureau, in Riyadh comes within the framework of cooperation and strong historical relations between the two countries, under the support and auspices of the governments of both countries to SAIs. 

Also it comes within the framework of the principles of the Resolution No. A/RES/66/209 OF 2011, adopted by the General Assembly of the United Nations on “Promoting the efficiency, accountability, effectiveness and transparency of public administration by strengthening supreme audit institutions” and in light of the provisions, standards and principles of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions/ INTOSAI / and its regional organizations. 


Both SAIs seek to increase the adequacy of financial and performance audit over the governmental bodies and exchange the bilateral experiences. Moreover, they aim to participate in the research projects and activities related to issues of common interests including holding seminars, meetings and conferences concerning the contemporary professional topics in financial and performance Audit, as well as organizing a common training programs.
